Holiday Travel Tips

We'll do everything possible to make sure your travel experience is a good one, but there's a few things you can do to help smooth out the journey.

Checking In

To help speed up the check-in process, Midwest Airlines offers a variety of self-service check-in options. You can check in online up to 24 hours before your flight from any computer with an Internet connection and a printer, or use one of the self-service kiosks available at select Midwest airport locations.

More Information on Online or Kiosk Check-in

If you're checking in at the airport, we recommend you arrive at least 90 minutes before your scheduled flight. If you have an early departure out of Milwaukee, please plan to show up earlier, because of longer check-in and security lines. Once at the airport, all passengers must present a government-issued photo ID (children under 18 do not require an ID). If passengers are checking luggage with a skycap, they must present their passenger itinerary and receipt.

All passengers must check in, receive a seat assignment and be at the boarding point ready to board the aircraft at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time of the flight.

Baggage

Place identification tags with your name, address and phone number on all of your baggage. Keep personal items with you, including prescription drugs and other medicines.

Traveling with Children

FAA regulations require that a child under 24 months of age, traveling in their own seat, use an approved child restraint device. Children age 2 or older must purchase and occupy a seat of their own. For young children, a child restraint device may be used if it meets Midwest Airlines and FAA requirements. Please note: AmSafe Child Aviation Restraint System are accepted for use. Special Services

If you're purchasing your tickets online, you may request special services including a manual wheelchair, a wheelchair for passengers who cannot ascend or descend stairs, a straight-back wheelchair for immobile passengers, meeting and assisting passengers, and special assistance for blind and/or deaf passengers. If you've already purchased your tickets and require services beyond these, or have additional questions regarding available services, please call Midwest Airlines Reservations at 800-452-2022 before traveling to make arrangements for your special travel needs.

Passenger Comfort Policy

Customers who occupy two seats must purchase both seats. If a customer must lift the armrest in order to sit in the aircraft seat and occupies a portion of or the entire adjoining seat, the customer must purchase the additional seat. This does not apply to those individuals that only need a seat belt extender but occupy one seat. As long as the flight does not oversell in any segment (denied boarding of confirmed, revenue passengers), the company will refund the additional seat purchase after travel has been completed.

It is the company's goal to ensure a safe, comfortable flight for everyone and to make every customers travel experience pleasant from beginning to end.

Wheelchairs

If you are purchasing your tickets online, you may request special services including a manual wheelchair, a wheelchair for passengers who cannot ascend or descend stairs, a straight-back wheelchair for immobile passengers, meeting and assisting passengers, and special assistance for blind and/or deaf passengers in Step 3 of booking. We will transport your personal wheelchair, but need notification on or before day of travel.

If you have already purchased your tickets and require services beyond these, or have additional questions regarding available services, please call Midwest Airlines Reservations at 800-452-2022 before traveling to make arrangements for your special travel needs.
