Boston, MA (BOS)

Boston is all about the origins of our rich heritage, which began on its shore in 1630. The Freedom Trail is a not-to-be-missed collection of preserved historic buildings, cemeteries and more. A 2.5-mile red brick line leads visitors from site to site and connects them to the past of Ben Franklin, Samuel Adams, John Hancock and Paul Revere. Along the way, it crosses the Black Heritage Trail, another collection of historic sites operated by the National Park Service. This route takes visitors to Beacon Hill, where 18th- and 19th-century African Americans lived and includes homes that were havens for the Civil Wartime Underground Railway.
