Premier Pet Program

The In-Cabin Small Dog Option

With this option you can bring your small dog into the cabin when it is confined in an approved soft-sided pet carrier and stowed beneath the seat in front of you. The fee for this service is $100 each way.

Midwest wants to ensure the comfort of all passengers on each flight. To help you understand our rules and your responsibility when traveling with your small dog, we request you read and carefully follow our Pet Policy and Procedures.

Basic Rules for In-Cabin Small Dog Travel on Midwest Airlines
Please print this sheet, review it before travel and carry it with you.

  • Small Dogs Only. Must fit in medium soft-sided carrier (11" high x 18" long), stowed under seat.
  • Midwest Airlines-Approved Carrier A Midwest Airlines-approved carrier must be used. Available for purchase on midwestairlines.com.
  • Dog Must Stay Completely in Carrier at All Times. All parts of the dog (head, nose, paws, tail, ears) must stay completely inside the carrier at all times in the airport, airport areas and on the aircraft. No body parts may protrude from the carrier.
  • Precious Cargo Tag. Ensure that your tag — given to you at the ticket counter upon check-in — is complete, dated and visible for the flight attendants to verify.
  • Vet Health Certificate. Upon check-in, you must present a veterinarian health certificate that includes current vaccination records and is dated within 10 days of travel.
  • Well-Behaved Dogs Only. Disruption of other passengers is not acceptable. It is your responsibility to quiet your dog without removing it from the carrier and without permitting any body parts to protrude from the carrier.
  • Exercise Before Airport Arrival. Take the time to exercise your dog before arriving at the airport. Pack proper clean-up and disposal materials in your carry-on, as it your responsibility to immediately clean up any pet accidents — without removing your dog from the carrier.
  • Seating. For safety reasons, passengers traveling with in-cabin dogs are not allowed to sit in exit row or bulkhead seats.
  • Please Follow These Rules. If you or your pet disregard or violate any rule or direction given by a crew member, you will not be able to travel with your pet in the cabin on future Midwest flights.
