Light rail takes you to the massive Mall of America or the downtown Nicollet Mall, a 12-block pedestrian-only thoroughfare with top-notch shopping options. Want to take in a game? Light rail takes you to the Metrodome as well. The arts are a big part of this city galleries, museums, fairs, music festivals and theatre. Water sports abound in the greater Minneapolis area, with 22 lakes located within the city limits offering the best urban fishing in the country. Lake Calhoun is one of the most popular of the city’s lake parks. Golfers can choose from over 170 area courses.
