Airport Info

Las Vegas, Nevada

Nothing says “Las Vegas” more than casinos, showgirls and glitzy clubs. For many visitors, the Strip is the only place to be – The Flamingo, Caesar’s Palace, The Mirage, Bellagio, Luxor, Venetian and so many more. But there’s plenty of glitz on streets just off the Strip where you’ll find the Hard Rock, Rio and Palms. Downtown gambling is a little less glitzy and many visitors prefer Binion’s, Fitzgerald’s and the Golden Nugget – all under the Fremont Street light show. Outside the city, there are 670 golf courses, desert, mountain and canyon tours by jeep, horseback, bicycle and helicopter.

Las Vegas dining is a 24/7 activity. Choices encompass most every cuisine and pocketbook, with many buffets being the stereotypical “deal” for travelers on a budget. From 99 cent footlongs on the Strip to extraordinary meals that harken back to the splendor and decadence of ancient Rome, the Las Vegas visitor has many choices. Check rewardsnetwork.com/midwest for descriptions and price ranges for the Las Vegas restaurants that also offer Midwest Miles rewards for dining.

The Arts:

The Guggenheim Hermitage Museum is located in The Venetian. The Arts Factory, a collection of artists and galleries, is located in the Gateway Arts District near downtown. The Las Vegas Art Museum on Sahara Avenue is affiliated with the Smithsonian.

Local Culture:

The Liberace Museum is a must-do for his fans, filled with pianos, costumes and Liberace’s signature music. Racing buffs can race their adrenaline while riding in or driving a car at the Richard Petty Driving Experience at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Entertainment:

Besides gambling, clubbing and seeing the shows, visitors can just enjoy walking around the major hotels and casinos to take in the exciting atmosphere and unique displays of each – the gondola rides at the Venetian and The Auto Collection – World Largest Classic Car Showroom at the Imperial Palace are two popular examples.
