Baltimore is the gateway to Chesapeake Bay cuisine. Crab houses and seafood restaurants abound. Italian food is especially recommended in Baltimore’s authentic Little Italy, just a brief walk from the Inner Harbor. The Arts:

Numerous museums and historic districts make Baltimore a fascinating city to visit. The Baltimore Art Museum exhibits fine 15th-20th century art that includes works by Van Dyck, Rembrandt, Chardin, Rodin, Botticelli, Matisse, Picasso, Cezanne, Gaugin, Van Gogh and Renoir. The museum also offers a selection of African, Asian and Near Eastern art. Other museums include the B&O Railroad Museum and the National Great Blacks in Wax Museum. Mt. Vernon, the cultural hub of the city, is on the National Registry of Historic Districts.

Local Culture:

Orioles’ baseball and Ravens’ football stadiums are located side by side near the downtown area. Baseball fans won’t want to miss the birthplace of Babe Ruth just a short walk from Camden Yards. The home is open to visitors and filled with baseball memorabilia.

Entertainment:

Fell’s Point, just east of the Inner Harbor, is not only Baltimore’s oldest, and liveliest areas, but also reported to be one of the best nightlife districts in the country. It’s there that you’ll find pubs, restaurants and shops rich in maritime history. It’s where you can also take a ghost tour of the hauntings, history and lore of this unique neighborhood.
