Q What’s the news?
A Republic Airways Holdings announced its acquisition of Midwest Airlines from TPG Capital. Midwest Air Group will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings and Midwest Airlines will continue to operate as a branded carrier with its current route network.

Q Will there be an immediate impact on customers?
A No. Midwest Airlines will continue to operate as a branded carrier with its current route network. There will be no difference in passengers’ experience with us – from check-in and boarding to arrival and baggage claim. Our commitment to providing “The best care in the air” will not change and we look forward to continuing to earn our passengers’ business by providing the outstanding service they deserve.

Q Are my tickets still valid?
A Of course. Customers can book and fly on Midwest with continuing confidence.

Q Will Midwest continue as its own branded entity?
A Yes. Republic believes in the strength and potential of the Midwest brand. Republic is acquiring Midwest to help secure its future, renew the promise of its strong brand and help it grow.

Q Does this affect the alliance agreement with Delta?
A The alliance agreement remains in force and is being fully implemented this year.

Q What does it mean for the community in terms of Midwest support?
A Midwest will continue to be supportive of the community through in-kind ticket contributions, sports and events sponsorships, and other community associations.
